Fred Gardner is the Founder and Publisher of O’Shaughnessy’s, the journal of cannabis in clinical practice. His work with the publication led to Gardner co-founding Project CBD alongside fellow writer Martin A. Lee in 2010. Gardner recieved his bachelor’s degree from Harvard University in 1963. Four years later, he went on to start a coffeehouse in Columbia, South Carolina that became a hangout for GIs. In turn, Gardner covered the court martial off 27 GIs charged with mutiny at the Presidio of San Francisco in 1968. He published The Unlawful Concert, a book about the case, in 1970.
