We are part of a new and vibrant industry that is poised for explosive growth over the next several years. To

take advantage of this growth potential, TAO Electronics is seeking an experienced Account Executive to help

expand its market share throughout North America.

TAO Electronics has an opportunity available in the Marketing and Business Development department as the

Public Relations and Social Media Manager. PRSM Manager oversees the overall planning, implementation

and evaluation of TAO Electronics’ public relations and social media presence and will be responsible for the

day-to-day management. In collaboration with the Director of Marketing, the PRSM Manager will create

strategic marketing initiatives in support of TAO Electronics’ brand awareness goals—increasing revenue and

building brand recognition.


- Manage public and social media relations for the museum

- Develop and implement strategic PR and Communications plans

- Identify key media outlets and pursue media opportunities for the museum with active press outreach

including pitching and placing stories with both local and national media (when applicable)

- Develop compelling story angles, write and distribute press materials (press kits, media calendars,

press releases, media alerts, etc.)

- Cultivate relationships with key media contacts and be the primary point of contact, managing press

inquiries, executing all media interview requests, interviews and helping with media research

- Plan and coordinate special events and press previews

- Craft talking points for media interviews and public events

- Manage the organization's social media presence including content creation, posting of content, and

direction of the organization's social media agency

- Proactively manage editorial calendars

- Continually monitor, analyze and communicate PR coverage daily and provide social media tracking

and updates on a bi-monthly basis

- Perform other duties as appropriate

- As a dynamic organization in a rapidly changing environment, the responsibilities associated with this

position will change in accordance with the company’s business needs. More specifically, the

incumbent may be required to perform additional and/or different responsibilities from those set forth



Ideal candidates will possess most or all of the following qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field of

study preferred

- 2-3 years of experience in public relations, in either an agency or client-side role. Business-to-

consumer experience is preferred

- Prior experience in media relations, responding to media inquiries and actively pitching stories is


- Proven success in both traditional and interactive PR channels

- Proficiency in social media best practices and content creation

- Demonstrate the ability to strategize, set and meet goals and be proactive

- Attention to detail in the completion of tasks

- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and a degree of creativity

- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast paced environment with an ability to meet multiple deadlines

on time

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as collaborate closely with departments

across the organization
